LOOKING FOR PRINTMAKERS FOR THE GROUP AND SOLO SHOW

Kartoffel Gallery is excited to announce an international open call for our upcoming exhibition season. We are looking for innovative artists working within the diverse and tactile world of printmaking to fill two slots in our gallery program:

One Solo Exhibition in April-May 2026 (Title provided by the selected Artist)

One Group Exhibition in June-July 2026 (featuring 3 selected artists, Title: Alternative Worlds)
We are seeking works that push the boundaries of traditional techniques or master the classic forms of the medium.
The theme of the exhibition is broad, and we would like to showcase the works reflecting on the topic of alternative worlds.

Eligibility & Scope
​
This call is open to all artists currently residing in the European Union. We are looking for small-format (approx. up to 50x60 cm) artworks created using manual printing techniques, including but not limited to: Monotype & Monoprint, Lithography (Stone or Plate), Etching, Linocut & Woodcut,Screenprinting.

Deadline for Submission: 10.03.2026 (23:59 CET)

Announcement of results: 15.03.2026 (selected artists will be informed via email)

Solo Exhibition: April-May 2026 (6 weeks, dates will be agreed with the selected artist individually)

Group Exhibition: Beginning of June, 2026 (6 weeks)

Application Fee: 10 Euros (This fee helps us with the organizational costs and applications processing)

We cannot not provide the budget to cover artist traveling or shipment costs. However, we take care ourselves of montage and de-montage of the exhibition, organization of the vernissage and promotion of the show

To help us to select the works, we invited one the artists we represent - Modesta Gorol - talented print maker, whose spirit aligns with our gallery

If selected, the works must be framed and ready to hang. The works can be either delivered in person or shipped by post. Unfortunately, we do not have a budget to cover the shipping costs

The works should be available for sale during the exhibition time. The gallery takes 35% commission from the artist price

Application does not guarantee participation, and the selection will be done by the jury
Submission Requirements

To apply, please prepare a single PDF document containing:

Artist Bio & CV (max 2 pages).

Concept of the show (max 300 words).

Pictures of works proposed for the exhibitions (include title, year, technique, and dimensions).

Preference: Please indicate if you wish to be considered for the Solo show, the Group show, or both.
